Free Polio Deformity Correction Camp at Sirsa

Polio, or poliomyelitis, is a disabling and life-threatening disease caused by the polio virus. Between 2 and 10 out of 100 people who have paralysis from poliovirus infection die, because the virus affects the muscles that are needed for breathing.

Key facts:

Polio (poliomyelitis) mainly affects children under 5 years of age.

1 in 200 infections leads to irreversible paralysis. Among those paralysed, 5% to 10% die when their respiratory muscles become immobilized.

Cases due to wild poliovirus have decreased by over 99% since 1988, from an estimated 350 000 cases then, to 33 reported cases in 2018.

As long as a single child remains infected, children in all countries are at risk of contracting polio.

Failure to eradicate polio from these last remaining strongholds could result in as many as 200 000 new cases every year, within 10 years, all over the world.

Symptoms:

*Polio is a highly infectious disease caused by a virus and main route of spread is faecal-oral route.

*It invades the nervous system, and can cause total paralysis in a matter of hours.

*The virus is transmitted by person-to-person spread mainly through the faecal-oral route or, less frequently, by a common source (for example, contaminated water or food) and multiplies in the intestine.

*Initial symptoms are fever, fatigue, headache, vomiting, stiffness of the neck and pain in the limbs.

*1 in 200 polio infections leads to irreversible paralysis (usually in the legs). Among those paralysed, 5% to 10% die when their breathing muscles become immobilized.

*People most at risk:

Polio mainly affects children under 5 years of age.

*Prevention

No cure for POLIO is available, it can only be prevented. Polio vaccine, given multiple times, can protect a child from polio for whole life.

Role of Dera Sacha Sauda:

Excitement mounts as the global health and international development communities anticipate a polio-free world.
But it’s also a bitter truth that as many as 20 million continue to live with the disabling consequences of this disease.

In today’s era of inflation & competition, survival has become very difficult. Struggle for availing bread, home and livelihood is already very difficult. In a handicapped person this  struggle manifolds because polio confront not only a range of physical disabilities but also significant social, financial and human rights barriers.

Even after several dedicated Immunization efforts, some individuals from poorer rural and slum communities remained unvaccinated, for whom it was not only harder to reach to the vaccination facility, more than  affluent members of the population but also individuals who, if contracted polio, are less likely to have access to medical and rehabilitation programs or education, job training, employment and social support services.

In accordance to the global mission of World Health Organisation to eradicate polio universally, Shah Satnam Ji Super Speciality Hospital, Sirsa under the guidance of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, is paying efforts dedicatingly from a long run. Respect Motherhood | For mother and child care

In our religions, mother is the one person who is the most glorified and considered worthy of respect. No doubt, she is created with qualities such as love, sacrifice, forbearance and selfless service to her children but her most appreciable ability of giving birth to a child is a very fortunate thing in itself. This is the most important attribute of a mother. A healthy motherhood is one of the most captivating dream of every woman. But It is unfortunate that in India, every 8 minutes a woman dies during pregnancy & childbirth.

The high number of maternal deaths in some areas of the world reflects inequalities in access to adequate diet, quality health services and highlights the gap between rich and poor.  A poor woman suffers from poverty and the dream of a motherhood does not remain a dream for her but becomes a burden. Some poor people, even after working whole day, are not able to make arrangements for their two-time meal. It is very difficult, infact impossible to imagine a good nutritious diet for the one who is not able to get even two meals a day properly. Health care services are also beyond financial range for such poor people.

Due to lack of nutritious diet and availability of proper health care, lot of complications can arise. Even a women may die as a result of complications during and following pregnancy and childbirth. Most of these complications develop during pregnancy and are preventable or treatable. Other complications may exist before pregnancy but are worsened during pregnancy, especially if not managed as part of the woman’s care. The major complications that account for nearly 75% of all maternal deaths are malnutrition, severe bleeding (mostly bleeding after childbirth), infections (usually after childbirth), high blood pressure during pregnancy (pre-eclampsia and eclampsia), complications from delivery or unsafe abortion.

Most maternal deaths are preventable, as the solutions to prevent or manage complications are well known. All women need access to adequate nutrition, high quality care in pregnancy and after childbirth.

To fulfill the desire of a healthy child, it is very important to consume nutritious food in sufficient quantity during pregnancy. Maternal health and newborn health are closely linked. The development of the fetus depends on the diet of the mother.
A pregnant woman should eat such a diet which can meet the nutritional needs of herself and her unborn baby.

Ensuring that women have availability of adequate nutritious diet and health care services is fundamental for the survival and well-being of mothers and their children. Before pregnancy, women need nutritious and safe diets to establish sufficient reserves for pregnancy. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, energy and nutrient needs increase.

Role of Dera Sacha Sauda in improving maternal & child health :
Dera Sacha Sauda is an organization that has established many world records for performing the works of humanity. Whether it is about planting saplings, making homes for poor, blood donation or taking care of poor pregnant women, Dera Sacha Sauda followers leave no stone unturned in serving humanity.

As per Saint Dr Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, improving nutrition and providing regular health care services is the key to achieve maternal and foetal health. His Highness further says, maternal malnutrition is not only associated with malnutrition in a developing foetus, it is also directly associated with the ill-health, and possible death, of the mother. On one side, poor nutritional status increases the chances of maternal death whereas nutrient-rich maternal diet before and during pregnancy is associated with improved fetal health, more appropriate birth weight, and increased rates of maternal and infant survival

Showing true concerns for pregnant women from poor communities who are  deprived of healthy nutrition, basic necessities and competent health care, Dera Sacha Sauda is working towards addressing these problems through its Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare force wing.
 • Saint Dr Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, initiated a campaign known as RESPECT MOTHERHOOD. Under this appreciable initiative, Dera Sacha Sauda disciples provide healthy and nutritious food and medical facilities to poor pregnant women from underprivileged families. Volunteers help these women by their own funds and resources. They never even hesitate in donating blood if and when required in emergency for surgery or in any other complications etc. for the pregnant women. Volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force visit slum areas and food distribution is done regularly in collaboration with Dera Sacha Sauda’s food bank. They are too dedicated to serve the expecting mothers that they visit hospitals also for distributing nutritional food kits to them.

Apart from this, medical camps (Parmarthi Shivir) are organised free of cost at Dera Sacha Sauda at regular intervals where world renowned doctors from all disciplines e.g. Physician, Gynaecologist, ophthalmologist cardiologist orthopedicians etc. provide free consultations. Facilities are also available for blood and other investigations. Shah Satnam Ji Super Speciality Hospital is dedicated 24*7 for serving poor patients free of cost. World class ultrasonic machines and other needed advanced investigations can also be done here if required. Nanha Farishta or the mobile hospital of Dera Sacha Sauda which has been made by Saint MSG, reaches those remote areas where proper health infrastructure is not available and provides multiple health benefits to such poor pregnant women.

Drenched in the colors of humanity, disciples of Dera Sacha Sauda from medical stream guide the pregnant mothers and make them aware about how to take care of herself and her child. What are the risk factors associated with complications and how these can be prevented. They teach them various yoga steps which can be done safely in pregnancy and also provide tips on healthy diet.

The grand revolutionary of humanity, the spiritual Master Saint Dr Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan never discriminates among anyone and provides method of meditation to one and all including the pregnant ladies too. By practising which regularly, millions of mothers have got benefitted. It is not only useful for the mother but also very beneficial for the child. It increases mental peace and improves the immune system to fight against various infections.

It increases mental peace and improves the immune system to fight against various infections.

Wealthier countries have healthier populations. Maternal well-being determines the health of the next generation, indirectly improves country’s economy and help predict the future of the entire nation.
Improving the well-being of pregnant mothers has been considered as an important health goal by Dera Sacha Sauda. By the inspiration of Saint Dr Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, to improve maternal health, barriers that limit access to quality maternal health are identified and addressed selflessly and effectively by Dera Sacha Sauda, through distributing nutritional food kits and providing health aids to the helpless poor pregnant women. Hats off to Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan for his significant initiative in this direction.

God’s Grace | Maha Rehmokaram Month of Parampita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj

Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj was born on January 25th, 1919 in the village Jalalana Sahab, Haryana. He was the only child of Shri Wareyam Singh Ji and Mata Aas Kaur ji. His birth name was Shri Harbans Lal, which was later changed to “Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj” by His holiness Sai Mastana Ji Maharaj while bestowing him with the spiritual wealth and announcing him as the successor to the Dera Sacha Sauda.
As a child, his holiness was very religious and wanted to find God one day. He was raised in a Sidhu family with great spiritual values. He believed in welfare of others from a very tender age. There is one instance, when his holiness was just four years old, there was a daily wager who came to seek financial help for his daughter’s marriage. At that tender age, his holiness realized that poor worker’s situation and requested his mother to provide financial aid for the marriage. He also requested her not to accept this money back and not to consider it as debt as well. He asked her to take it as a contribution from the family of the bride. Isn’t it surprising to see this kind of maturity in a four year old?
The kindest hearted Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj, being a keen learner of spirituality, met many people but he was not satisfied with the knowledge that he was gaining until he met Sai Mastana Ji Maharaj in Sirsa. As soon as he met Sai Mastana Ji Maharaj, he realised that he is near to his ultimate path. He started to attend the satsangs (Spiritual congregations) regularly and was very impressed by the wisdom he was getting being there. Time passed by, but Sai Mastana Ji Maharaj did not bless Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj with the method of meditation. Upon the request, he would always refuse by saying,“When the timing is right, I will call you on my own and will bless you with the Naam. Kaal (Time or Negative energy) will not harm you in any manner till that time. You can keep attending the Satsangs.”
And the day arrived when Shah Satnam Ji was finally chosen to be the receiver of “naam”. It was March 14th, 1954 when Sai Mastana Ji himself called Shah Satnam Ji and his exact words were, “Come inside and sit near the chair. Tonight the order from Almighty has come to teach you Meditation (Naam).” Making Shah Satnam Ji sit by his side, Shah Mastana Ji said, “I have called you for Meditation (Naam) and have made you sit by my side as I have to entrust you with a very special responsibility. You will be that leader of “Zindaram” (Spirituality) who will shower the blessings of the Naam (Meditation) on the world.”
On February 28th, 1960, Sai Mastana Ji Maharaj, in front of a massive crowd, announced that Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj is the successor of Dera Sacha Sauda. Sai Mastana Ji Maharaj added “Today, I have transformed Sardar Satnam Singh Ji from an ordinary person to the Supreme Being.” He said, “Satnam is the power which controls the Universe. It is the supporting power due to which the world exists. The soul of any person who utters ‘Satnam’ or who has His (Shah Satnam Singh Ji’s) pious Darshan will never go to Hell.”
Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj is Sai Mastana Ji Maharaj’s sheer benevolence on the entire humanity. Shah Satnam Ji showed the real path of salvation through meditation to more than a million people. To honour this, the volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda celebrate this “Maha Rehmokaram” month by performing various welfare activities all across the globe.

National Girl Child Day

January 24th is observed as the National Girl Child Day in India. It promotes the idea of overall wellbeing of the girl child. It emphasizes on the importance of health, nutrition and education for a girl child.
In the year 2008, it was first introduced by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Govt. of India with an aim of spreading awareness about inequalities faced by a girl child. Isn’t it strange that we had to devote a day to spread this awareness? Yes, it is so common but yet not so common to people be aware of the fact that the girl child is equally wanted in the society as a boy child. Over a period of time, a gradual decline in sex ratio was observed. People preferred male child over female child and that inflated the rate of foetus killings.
The main aim of this step is to provide security, support and motivation to a girl child. While discussing on this, the areas which needs to be focussed are the following:

Educate : Education is the only key to girl empowerment. Gender should never be the determining factor whether you get to be educated or not. They say,” If you teach a boy, you teach a person but if you teach a girl, you teach a family”. Girl education is so important for the growth of the society and our nation. People need to be aware about the power of education. Education is the basic right of any child. It opens the door to a bright future. There are many steps taken by the Govt. of India to promote girl education. Still, the goal of 100% literacy is a far dream. An educated girl has direction. She becomes a mentor. She helps others to move forward too.

Engage: Engage them in everything. This has to start from the home where parents give equal amount of respect and responsibilty to their children, be it girl or a boy. The feeling of involvement boosts the confidence. Never forget the little gis with dreams become the women with vision.

Empower : Empower them with knowledge, guidence, opportunity and right tools. It is our responsibilty to make our girls feel equally respected and welcomed and to give them the importance that they deserve. A girl child a pride and the future of the nation. She is like a revolution in herself. Empowering them is like empowering your future.

Encourage: Encourage them to be a better person day by day. Encourage to chase their dreams. Encourage to be able to express freely. Encourage to lead. Encourage to rise high. Encourage to leave their footprints for other to follow the golden path of success. Encourage then to be independent.

Apart from the government’s efforts, there are several NGOs and organizations which are constantly taking a step forward to educate people about the same. Dera Sacha Sauda is one those selfless organizations which has spread awareness about importance of life, education, health and empowerment of the girl child. Millions of volunteers have pledged not to abort a girl child. They are committed towards working for the betterment of gender ratio. Thousands of rallies and camps have been organized by the volunteers, under the guidence of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. The positive results from these efforts cannot be hidden from anyone. We hope that more awareness is there around it and we see more happy faces in the near future.

A world without girl is as incomplete as a world without water. Daughters are the precious gifts. On this National Girl Child Day, let’s pledge to create an environment of peace, love and equality for them.

FIGHTING CORONA VIRUS…. “THE DANGEROUS PANDEMIC”

Coronavirus disease (SARS-COVID-19 or simply covid) is a contagious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The first known case was identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. The disease has since spread worldwide, leading to an ongoing pandemic. Worldwide, the death toll due to corona disease has crossed 2000,000 which is sufficient enough to judge the magnitude of the problem.

SIGN & SYMPTOMS:
Symptoms of COVID 19 are variable, but often include
• Fever
• Cough
• Headache
• fatigue & breathing difficulties etc.

MODE OF SPREAD:
• Current evidence suggests that the virus spreads mainly between people who are in close contact with each other, for example at a conversational distance. The virus can spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, sing or breathe. Another person can then contract the virus when infectious particles that pass through the air are inhaled
• The virus can also spread in poorly ventilated and/or crowded indoor settings.
• People may also become infected when touching their eyes, nose or mouth after touching surfaces or objects that have been contaminated by the virus.

PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID THE DISEASE:
There are many things we can do to keep our self and our loved ones safe from COVID-19. Follow these basic precautions:
• Follow local guidance: Check to see what national, regional and local authorities are advising so that you have the most relevant information.
• Keep distance: Stay at least 1 metre away from others, even if they don’t appear to be sick, since people can have the virus without having symptoms.
• Wear a mask: Wear a well-fitting three-layer mask, especially when you can’t maintain distance physically, or if you’re indoors. Clean your hands before putting on and taking off a mask.
• Avoid crowded places, poorly ventilated, indoor locations and avoid prolonged contact with others.
• Ventilation is important: Open windows when indoors to increase the amount of outdoor air.
• Avoid touching surfaces, especially in public settings or health facilities, in case people infected with COVID-19 have touched them. Clean surfaces regularly with standard disinfectants.
• Frequently clean your hands with soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub. If you can or otherwise carry alcohol-based rub with you and use it often.
• Cover your coughs and sneezes with a bent elbow or tissue, throwing used tissues into a closed bin right away. Then wash your hands or use an alcohol-based hand rub.
• Get vaccinated: When it’s your turn, get vaccinated. Follow local guidance and recommendations about vaccination.

ROLE OF DERA SACHA SAUDA TO FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19

Dera Sacha Sauda is a true spiritual organization, located at Sirsa and is committed to selfless services & humanitarianism since 1948. Today when spiritualism has been commercialised all over the world, Here, method of meditation is taught free of cost by Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan to attain Salvation in this human-life. This Meditation is very simple and extremely effective. The regular practice of this meditation boosts self-confidence and will-power, which helps upto a great extent, in the cure of a number of deadly illnesses of the body (cancer, heart diseases, asthma, arthritis, diabetes, hypertension HIV/AIDS, Corona Disease and many other chronic diseases). This has already been verified by millions of people all over the world.

His Holiness Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan strongly opposes all intoxicants. He has been instrumental in campaigning extensively against drug addiction. Smoking destroys lung tissues and brings fibrotic changes making lungs susceptible to various infections e.g. TB, COPD, Corona and various other problems of immune system. Through the method of meditation, millions of people have been able to quit their deadly dependence on drugs. Guru ji travelled thousands kilometres to transform the lives of millions specially youth.
By his pious guidance, almost 65 million people have vowed to never partake intoxicants. Dera Sacha Sauda has come out to be known as a great drug rehab and reform centre This all has played a significant role in keeping the morbidity rate due to covid towards lower side.

Being a living example of humanity, Dera Sacha Sauda is already conducting 135 humanitarian deeds earlier. In the 7th letter received at Dera Sacha Sauda, from the Spiritual Master Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, 2 new welfare works have been added to this list to spread awareness among society about the deadly Corona Virus Disease. Saint MSG wisely analysed the magnitude of severity about the disease. Seeing the effectiveness of wearing mask, keeping social distance and getting vaccinated, His Highness boosted revolutionary change in day to day practices of people and enhanced the rate of precautions to prevent the spread of Covid -19 pandemic. By the virtue of his influential spiritual power, Saint MSG invoked millions to adopt two most significant welfare works to save the community from becoming the throes of death, which are as follows:

136. We will mandatorily wear mask and maintain at least 7 feet distance from others to contain the droplet transmission & minimize the spread of virus. Masks are to be distributed to needy people from impoverished backgrounds.

137. We will vaccinate ourselves as per Governmental guidelines and will encourage everyone to get vaccinated against Corona Virus.

Though this may seem nothing new to many intelligentsia of the society, but these small precautions will definitely be fruitful when followed by people sincerely at mass scale. However, Government has also imposed various guidelines in society to contain Covid-19, but the thing which matters a lot is how sincerely we are following the guidelines. As per Saint MSG, it is the utmost responsibility of not only Government but also each individual to participate actively in preventing the spread of this disease.
In close collaboration with the government, Dera Sacha Sauda has conducted various camps for providing covid vaccination to local community. Moreover, DSS volunteers encouraged and thanked the Corona warriors for their selfless service and distributed fruit kits to them for better immunity.

Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan awakens the inspiration of patriotism and deep insight in his disciples, in regard of their social and moral duties, which is the burning need of time. By virtue of his pious inspiration his disciples have illuminated the name of Dera Sacha Sauda in the path of humanity & won many awards recorded in Guinness Book of World Records. Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan is not only a true sentinel of humanity but also an impressive social reformer of the time who sowed the seed of humanity in the hearts of millions of his disciples which has now taken the form of a big tree known as The Mission Humanity.
All the concerned members of the Dera Sacha Sauda have pledged to work day and night till the last breath of their lives, along with Guru ji in his mission humanity to save the society from various evils and the life threatening illnesses. Kudos to such a true social reformer and to the crew of humanity he leads.

Who would have thought that someone would ever adopt prostitutes as his daughters and marry them into good families?

Today I am going to introduce you to an organization that has done what probably no one would have even thought of till date! I am talking about Dera Sach Sauda, a non-profit social welfare organization based in Sirsa, Haryana. By the way, you must have heard the name of Dera Sach Sauda! This organization is famous all over the world for its 135 humanitarian welfare works.

Revolutionary Change
In 2009, Dera Sacha Sauda chief Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan announced a historic initiative to fight against prostitution by rescuing and rehabilitating the victims.

Some girls are compulsively, some because of the circumstances and some are forcibly trapped in prostitution rackets.

Baba Ram Rahim Ji thought of such girls and decided to get them out of that dirty & dark place. He announced that girls who are in prostitution and want to come into the mainstream are welcome, Revered Guru Ji will adopt them as his daughters, will provide them with medical treatment, and marry them in a good home.

On 9th Nov 2009, when Baba Ji spoke about this revolutionary initiative to the followers of Dera Sacha Sauda in his Satsang, millions of people raised their hands and promised to cooperate in this work.

From prostitute to Shubh Devi
After adopting the girls as his daughters who were trapped in sex trafficking, Baba Ram Rahim Ji gave them the title of “Shubh Devi” (Angels of Luck)

1500 young men came forward to marry ex-sex workers
Now you all must be thinking who will marry such girls? More than 1500 young men have stepped forward to marry former prostitutes of their own free will. Some of these young men are doctors, some are engineers, businessmen, etc., and belong to well-educated and well-cultured families.
Huge applaud should be given to such young men who took the initiative to remove this filth from society and improve society.

This is the first time in the history of mankind that someone has come forward to marry ex-prostitutes. And not one or two but 1500 such young men have expressed their intentions to marry them.
These young men are also ready to accept if there’s any child of Shubh Devi, who the world calls ‘illegitimate’.
Baba Ram Rahim Ji gave these brave men the title of “Bhakt Yodha” (Warrior Devotees)

21 Bhakt Yodhas have made Shubh Devis thier life partners
In Nov 2009, this great movement was announced and then on Jan 25, 2010, Baba Ram Rahim Ji solemnized marriages of 21 Shubh Devis with marriageable age of Bhakat Yodhas in front of millions of Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers. Everyone celebrated and rejoiced at this grand event of marriages.

Bane Removed By Boon

This initiative against prostitution started by Baba Ram Rahim is known by two titles.

One is Shubh Devi (Angles Of Luck) the name given to former prostitutes and the other is Ban Removed By Boon, and this title justifies this historic move very well.

After all, those girls have got the gift of a new life and fresh beginning; Father’s love, healthy lifestyle, living environment, great man to marry, and supportive family. Which is nothing less than a boon.

Dera Sacha Sauda gave healthy life and living environment to former prostitutes

Girls rescued from sex rackets got an opportunity to start a new and healthy life under this campaign of Guru Ji.

Under the guidance of Baba Ram Rahim Ji, appropriate health care facilities are provided to the former prostitutes suffering from diseases since they have been in unfavorable conditions for a long time.

And once they are freed from their ailments, they are offered to settle down in normal married life.

The entire arrangement for their stay has also been made in Dera Sacha Sauda itself with all the necessary facilities.

Vocational training to former prostitutes and education to their children

In addition to the living environment, the rescued girls are also given vocational training.

Their children are also getting free education in schools run by Dera Sacha Sauda.

Volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda left no stone unturned to contribute to this historic move

•278 families took a vow to adopt these girls as their sister and daughter

•57 families have pledged to legally adopt the previously born children of rehabilitated sex workers

•Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers also conducted rallies in the infamous alleys of many cities across India to create awareness among the sex workers.

Other rescue and rehabilitation initiatives by Dera Sacha Sauda

Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Ji not only rehabilitated sex workers but also adopted such girls who were to be killed in the womb or abandoned by their parents at the time of birth.

He also adopted the eunuch community, gave them a new life by connecting them with the mainstream of society.

You can too be a part of this rescue and rehabilitation initiative.

If you know about any children or women who are at risk then you can give this information to Dera Sacha Sauda. Your new ideas and suggestions are always welcomed to end human trafficking.

World AIDS Day | Awareness and support

Since 2016, WHO has recommended that all people living with HIV be provided with lifelong ART, including children, adolescents, adults and pregnant and breastfeeding women, regardless of clinical status or CD4 cell count.
By June 2021, total 187 countries had already adopted this recommendation, covering 99% of all people living with HIV globally.

Prevention:

Individuals can reduce the risk of HIV infection by limiting exposure to risk factors. Key approaches for HIV prevention, which are often used in combination, include:

• Regular health check up should be done. Get tested and treated for HIV and STD if suspected.
• Practice abstinence.
• Faithfulness towards partner: Most effective strategies come from within communities. Follow religions sincerely and be loyal to your partner. Avoid multiple sexual partnerships. Choose less risky sexual behaviors.
• Physical barriers e.g. Condoms are highly effective in preventing HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), like gonorrhea and chlamydia.
• After a recent possible exposure, like if someone is sexually assaulted. Talk to any health care provider, an emergency room doctor, right away about PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis). PEP must be started within 72 hours after a possible exposure. The sooner one start PEP, the better is output. Every hour counts. If one is prescribed PEP,  he ’ll need to take it daily for 28 days.
• Quit Drug addiction- This is the best way to prevent getting HIV through injectable drug use. Talk with a counselor, doctor, or other health care provider about treatment for substance use disorder, including medication-assisted treatment. Harm reduction should be done for people who inject and use drugs.
• Testing and counselling for HIV and STIs; testing and counselling for linkages to tuberculosis (TB) care.
• Voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC)
• Use of antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) for prevention.
• Elimination of mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) of HIV.
• Spreading awareness about the disease’s symptoms, causes, preventive measures, treatment, role of drug compliance and regular follow up with doctor.
.
Barriers to care for HIV:

*Early treatment with HIV medicine can help keep you healthy and prevent HIV from progressing into AIDS. It can also help prevent spreading HIV to others. Some people faces barriers to health care, but various programs are available to help. Some individuals living with HIV may have less access to health care resources than others living with HIV. This may be due to:

*Fewer financial resources
*Fewer health care resources available in the area
*Worry about violent reactions from partners, for women in abusive relationships
*Less access to transportation
*Lack of housing. Homeless women have less access to care. They may not be able to stick with care routines because of irregular meals or not having proper places to live and store medicines.

*In our society, HIV is still considered as a social stigma and discrimination is done on it’s basis. Lack of emotional or physical support can be a source of major stress.
Due to this, HIV may challenge your sense of well-being or complicate existing mental health conditions.
*Added responsibility of caring for others, especially children, that can make it difficult to care for themselves and even to  take their medicines at time.
*Fear of telling their family about their HIV status.
*Many resources and programs are available to help women access care for HIV or AIDS.

*With the Affordable Care Act, women with HIV now have access to insurance, expanded Medicaid coverage, and lower prescription costs.
*Women with AIDS can access low-income housing opportunities.
* In some states, there are laws that require you to share your HIV status with your sex or injection partners. Sharing your status with anyone else is your choice.

*Telling your partners that you have HIV before you have sex or inject drugs may be uncomfortable. But doing so protects you under the law. It also allows your partners to make decisions that can protect their health.
* You should also tell your current or former partners if you’ve been diagnosed with another sexually transmitted disease (STD). This lets them know that they should also get tested for other STDs.

*People with HIV sometimes face issues that can affect their nutrition: Changes in body’s metabolism and some ART medicines that can upset the stomach.
Opportunistic infections that can cause issues with eating and swallowing.
Foods that can affect HIV treatment are raw meats and fish. Any of these problems can affect your body’s ability to absorb the nutrients needed to stay in good health. Regular dietician consultation should be done for this.

At the End:

Although the life-threatening disease HIV/AIDS can be prevented and treated, but in case the supplies of medicines are not readily available or if the response is not quick, may even lead to death. Moreover, in order to lower the risk associated with this health condition, one must continue living a healthy lifestyle by including a balanced diet and daily exercising habit. Also,  saying no to drinking, smoking, drugs and extramarital relationships can also prove to be extremely helpful. As the risk is high, one must not compromise in adopting the precautionary measures to prevent this deadly disease.

Crucial Role by Dera Sacha Sauda:
Adopt religion dispel deadly diseases:

Dera Sacha Sauda is a spiritual organization, based at Sirsa and is committed to selfless services & humanitarianism since 1948. This organization is unique in more than one way. Today when spiritualism has been commercialised all over the world, donations in cash or in kind by anybody (individuals/ NRI’s/ Govt./ corporate houses) are strictly prohibited in Dera Sacha Sauda. Here, a practical method of meditation is taught free of cost by The Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan to attain Salvation in this human-life. This Meditation is very simple and extremely effective. It boosts self-confidence and will-power. It helps in achieving peace of mind, which is difficult to attain by any other means.
The regular practice of this meditation also helps, to a great extent, in the cure of a number of dreaded illnesses of the body (cancer, heart diseases, asthma, arthritis, diabetes, hypertension HIV/AIDS and many other chronic diseases). This has already been verified by lakhs (100,000’s) of people all over the world.

His Holiness Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan strongly opposes all intoxicants. He has been instrumental in campaigning extensively against drug addiction. Through the method of meditation, millions of people have been able to quit their deadly dependence on drugs which is one of the major cause for various diseases prevalent in the society e.g. HIV/AIDS. Guruji travels thousands of kilometers to act as a catalyst for transforming lives.

Today, the number of people who have vowed never to partake intoxicants has exceeded 60 million and are growing. On one call by Guruji, people in thousands collectively pledge to get kick the drug habit. Public bonfires of intoxicants are made. People are whole heartedly supporting the renaissance for a clean, drug free society. And it is the result of his magical free meditation and inspiration that heaps of intoxicants like tobacco, hand-rolled Indian cigarette (also called bidis), cigarette, betel nuts etc. are burnt publicly in spiritual congregations when people throw them away instantaneously when inspired by Revered Guruji. Dera Sacha Sauda has come out to be known as a great drug rehab and reform centre. All the members of the organization are also working along with Guruji in this mission to save the society from the diseases caused due to drug addiction.

Although restraint on all the desires have been preached, but emphasis has been laid on keeping a lid on sexual impulses. As per MSG, religion is the biggest science and laid emphasis on practising celibacy. Following his Highness, today millions of disciples, encouraged by Guru Ji, are following the path of religion and practicing celibacy before marriage that has given their life a meaningful turn and they diverted their energy in right direction. His spiritual traditions have always advocated righteous conduct and barred immoral liaisons. But the acceptance of pre-marital, extra marital and virtually all other forms of hyper- indulgent behavior have became fashionable causing deadly diseases e. g. HIV, Hepatitis and other sexually transmitted infections etc. the consequences of which have been very fatal. Thus, by providing the priceless method of meditation and by his preachings Saint MSG has inculcated a good moral character in millions and by virtue of which, today they are saved from very dangerous diseases. Saint MSG is a great social reformer of the present time. By refraining people from evils, he connects them with spirituality. Disciples of Dera Sacha Sauda, by following the valuable preachings of their spiritual master, not only quitting their own evils but also creating awareness in the society, regarding the same. As we all know, prostitution is also one of the major cause in increasing magnitude of HIV/AIDS. His Highness raised voice for the welfare of prostitutes too. Saint MSG and his disciples adopted them as their daughters and sisters, provided them proper medical treatment and rehabilitated them in the main stream of society by arranging their marriages with well settled devotee boys. In other words, it can be said that he left no stone unturned to root out this evil named HIV. Not only this, at Dera Sacha Sauda regular medical camps are organised in view of providing free consultation of experts.

Not only this, at Dera Sacha Sauda regular medical camps are organised in view of early detection of diseases and providing free consultation of experts to all stratas of society either rich or poor. This is also an excellent initiative to control and refrain the society from various dangerous diseases.

Growing self-confidence by enchanting Guru Mantra, disciples experienced miracles and eradicated even their major ailments from the root. Which is an unbelievable miracle from the point of view of science.

At the end as an unbiased spectator, I would like to say that the appreciable efforts initiated by Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan laid the foundation of humanity and good moral characters in millions. Under his guidelines, many changes have taken place in the society today and the society is moving towards progress. Words are not worth enough to show the gratitude of millions of his disciples towards him. Society desperately needs social reformers like him.

130th Incarnation Day | The unseen immortal divine spiritual power

Have you ever wondered why the sun always points from the east? How does this moon, stars, block & this universe remain in the same sound state and still maintain their normal rotation cycle? There must have been some strong divine power to control them. Yes, there is someone from the very origin of this universe who has been playing an important role in our life without whom life can’t even be imagined.
Who has always been needed and will always be there. Such incredible, unique, incomparable, indescribable power is Guru.

“GURU” The Possessor of Magnetic Spiritual Aura

Guru is a complete word contained in two syllables. In which the deep knowledge of the whole universe is contained. If this word is defined, then Gu means darkness and Ru means light in the Urdu language. The one who leads from darkness to light is called Guru.
A guru is a spiritual teacher and leader who teaches about meditation and compassion and encourages us to live our life according to certain precepts and truths that are honorable to God.

He has a role and responsibility to teach a human being or universal being what is accurate and specific to know, learn and understand on a spiritual level to contribute to their soul agreement, soul purpose, or spiritual evolution.

The need of adopting a Guru:

Guru is mandatory to be adopted to gain mastery in any worldly field. One cannot swim in deep water without a coach, a student can’t become a scholar without a teacher, a skilled person is needed to learn new skills and so on…
When the world needs a guru to achieve competence in science. Then how is the knowledge of spirituality possible without a guru? There is no such creature in this world that can move forward without a Guru. Despite being God, Lord Shri Krishna adopted Shree Sandeepan Rishi and Lord Shri Ram accepted Shri Vashisht Ji as his spiritual Guru. History is witness that the disciple Meera Bai adopted Saint Ravidas Ji and Kabir Ji adopted Saint Ramanand Sagar as his Spiritual Master. Therefore, it is clear that from time immemorial to till now whoever has found God, found it only in the company of Guru.
Even before taking the first step on this earth, a mother is our first teacher. Mother teaches us to drink, to eat, to sit, and to walk. That is why a mother has been given a higher status than God. Mother is always worried about the future of her child but she never thought of what would happen to her child after the child’s death. A life-giving mother who has a status higher than God also becomes incapable of this. The solution to this unsolved riddle is with The Guru only because Guru is the guide of our journey from birth to death and also afterward that is why the Guru has a higher status than the mother and God.
Ask yourself a question. Whether our coming generations will be able to achieve progress in life without the Guru’s knowledge from time immemorial?
Will they be able to remain faithful towards their relations? Perhaps no or even if yes, not up to the desired level.

The incarnation of the divine soul:

History has witnessed that whenever
lawlessness and tyranny reached their peak,
for the preservation of humanity and
religion, many divine figures have incarnated from time to time in glorious India.
One such name which has been adorned in the golden papers of history is SAI MASTANA JI MAHARAJ, who became a perfect spiritual master of millions. To glorify his name is just like showing a lamp to the Sun. He incarnated with an aim of the salvation of the world.

History has witnessed that the founder of Dera Sacha Sauda – Sai Mastana Ji Maharaj preached the method of meditation aka the Holy Naam Shabad, to thousands of people in India during his twelve-year prime, from 1948 to 1960.
During the same period, His Holiness also distributed money and materials to the people in the form of gold, silver, currency notes, clothes, etc. The reason behind this was to motivate people to meditate on God’s Divine words and it worked too because the mere fact that he never asked for a single penny from anybody was enough for people to realize that his intentions were clean and selfless. And that he was self-sufficient, all he wanted was the spiritual growth of the masses. These inspired people from various parts of the country to become followers of the Dera Sacha Sauda.

But who exactly was this Divine Messenger of God? “Sai Mastana Ji Maharaj” whose birth name was Shri Khemamal Ji, incarnated on Kartik Poornima of 1891 at Kotra, Tehsil Gandhey district Kalat (Balochistan).
It was only later that His Holiness Huzoor Baba Sawan Singh Ji Maharaj honored him with the name of “Shah Mastana Ji”.
Respected Shri Pillamal Ji and Mata Tulsa Bai Ji were privileged by being parents of such a divine soul. His divine Beautiful stunning face was as calm as the moon. As he incarnated, the house courtyard lit up with divine light. He was a single precious brother among his 4 sisters. Congratulatory messages started pouring in from all over the surroundings. Sweets were distributed throughout the village and food grains and clothes were donated to the needy ones.

The childhood memorable moments:

Unfortunately, at a young age, the shadow of his father rose from his head. Full responsibility for parenting was on the shoulders of his respected mother now. His Highness used to help his mother in fulfilling her responsibilities. One day he went out to the market to sell a platter of sweets, by the orders of his mother. On the way, he met a monk. He Kept down the platter from his head, forgetting everything, he sat down to listen to the words of devotion. He offered some sweets to that Mahatma with the spirit of service. There was a very delicious and supernatural delight in those khoya sweets. The Mahatma expressed his desire to eat more sweets and thus little by little the monk ate all the sweets.
Satisfied and happy, that Mahatma blessed and said that, child, you will become the king of the entire spiritual world. After saying this, The Mahatma disappeared in the blink of an eye. Now the platter, as well as hands both, were empty.
Sai Ji also worked as a laborer in the field, with a landlord. The landlord was astonished to see such hard work and dedication at a very young age. He was also forced to think that this child was no ordinary child. The landlord took him along and met the revered mother of Sai Ji. When the revered mother came to know about the reality, she hugged him to the chest. To be able to do this, a small child shows a divine grace on him. As he grew up, the scope of sympathy towards others and devotion to God also increased. By God’s blessings and according to his kind nature, wherever a sad victim and needy was found, he helped him in every possible way. His devotion towards God was immense.

Search of the truth and reconcile with the Satguru:

The search for truth was inside him since childhood. He had built a temple of Satyanarayan Ji at home for worship. The gold idol of Lord Satyanarayan Ji was decorated in his temple. He used to sit for long hours for meditation. Once someone came to him and explained the path of truth to him, for the attainment of Lord Satyanarayana and said, if you want the most salvation, then seek the true Satguru.  Sai Ji went to get tea and milk for that Mahatma.  Midway he returned to close the doors of the temple thinking that somewhere in the guise of a Mahatma, it should not be a thug who steals the gold idol of God. Coming back he saw that the Mahatma was not inside. And the door was open from outside too. All the stuff inside and the idol of God was kept in its place as it is.

He liked the words of that Mahatma and realized his true divine power. After that, he started searching for a true saint.

Since the early years of his life, His Holiness had a special corner for God in his heart. At the tender age of 14 years, he left his home in search of a true spiritual Guru.

This search introduced him to several religious individuals who were well known for their devotion towards God. These mentors told him that they could help in several aspects of life, but not to realize God. He wanted the complete truth, so nothing else influenced him.
None of them could satisfy his thirst for his Satguru- The perfect spiritual Master.
By God’s blessings and those of his revered Master, his search ended after 9 years, when he reached Dera Beas in Punjab (India).

It was there that His Holiness was introduced to Baba Sawan Singh Ji Maharaj in one of his Satsangs (spiritual congregation) and learned the “Naam Shabad” or “Method of Meditation” from his Guru. He found him the same person whom he met earlier, who disappeared from the temple despite the lock from outside. As luck would have it, his curiosity for the Divine Lord was fulfilled here to his complete satisfaction and what followed next was the development of true faith in his Guru. His sincere and honest devotion was enough for his Satguru to endow complete spiritual knowledge and blessing to his disciple.

The divine blessings:

Things were clear now. God was in front of him in the form of a spiritual body, Baba Sawan Singh Ji Maharaj. After tying thick anklet bells on feet, he used to dance joyfully in quietness in front of his spiritual master. He shuddered in supernatural ecstasy and Guruji used to shower his blessings with divine words on him.

Once in spiritual discourse, Baba Sawan Singh Ji Maharaj Said from the holy mouthpiece “Ja Mastana tujhe baagar ka badshah banaya, aseen tujhe akhut bhandaar diya, jisko jo marji do …sona, chaandi, paise, puttar, dhi… Aseen tujhe apna swaroop bhee diya. and by this way showered immense blessings on him.

His honest love and profound devotion towards his Satguru earned him the title of “Mastanon ka Mastana, Shahon ka Shah – Shah Mastana Ji”, by his Holy Guru, Revered Saint Savan Sai Ji Maharaj from Beas Dera, and he was entrusted by the sacred duty of conducting Spiritual discourses (Satsang) and teaching meditation to people in the provinces of Balochistan, Sindh, and Punjab.

Later, His Holiness Baba Sawan Singh Ji assigned Shah Mastana Ji the Holy duty of carrying forward this very mission in the vicinity of Bagarh (a region of northern Rajasthan and western Haryana).

After that, His Holiness made Shah Mastana Ji, his spiritual successor in the Sirsa region of Haryana, spread the Divine message and propagate the Naam-Shabad in masses. And this was how the Dera Sacha Sauda was founded in Sirsa on April 29th,1948.

His Holiness laid the principle of earning wealth through hard work and through honest means only. He also prohibited the acceptance of donations or charity of any kind.

Saint Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj also coined the Divine slogan or Nara “Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Aasra”

Under the pious blessings of Saint Sawan Shah Ji, on Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj the divinely empowered slogan “Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Aasra” got celestial approval.

Dhan Dhan: Only God is worth praising Satguru: The Supreme Omnipresent being. Synonymous with the words Om, Allah, Waheguru, Ram, Parmatma, God, etc. Tera Hi Asra: We are solely dependent on Him and only He can help us anytime, anywhere, and in any eventuality!

Developments carried out by his Holiness in India

25 Ashrams in Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan with a facility for drinking water and langar (free community means).

Preaching the Naam or Method of Meditation to thousands of people in exchange for the promise of following three principles for the rest of their life:

1) No consumption of meat, egg, or gelatin in food.
2) No consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, etc.
3) No adultery or illicit sex

These principles are still followed sincerely by the disciples of Dera Sacha Sauda by those who adopt the Naam Shabad or method of meditation from here.

Words of Mastana Ji Maharaj (Spiritual Guru – Shah)

A perfect Spiritual saint is one with God.

He incarnates in human form by the order of the Almighty.

Having performed his assigned duties, he passes on the responsibility to his successor and returns back to his original eternal place, ie. The Anami Desh (the home of the Lord).

And finally…

After performing his assigned duties, Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj handed over his reign to successor Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj on February 28, 1960. And he himself left for his eternal Holy abode on April 18th, 1960.

Thou taught priceless human preachings,

Revealed the Divine Secrets of spirituality.

Prodigious Disciples creating a benchmark,

Thou efforts Revived the dying humanity.

Yes, it was the Essence of life about none other than A perfect spiritual master of millions “Saint Mastana Ji Maharaj”

Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj became the reason behind the positive transformation of millions of lives. The treasure that he holds in the form of spiritual guidance removed everyone’s pain and rejoined them with the true happiness of life.

Dera Sacha Sauda flourished under the pious guidance of Revered Saint Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj afterward, till 1990.
Saint Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj then handed over the divine legacy to Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan on September 23rd, 1990.

Dera Sacha Sauda needs no introduction today. Since then till now Dera Sacha Sauda has progressed manifolds in humanity under the pious guidance of Revered Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan and established a benchmark, by conducting 135 humanitarian deeds selflessly all over the world. His Highness guides millions of his disciples to conduct various humanitarian deeds e.g. Blood donation, eye and whole body donation posthumously, Mega plantation campaign, conducting cleanliness campaign, women empowerment, building shelters for the underprivileged, feeding birds and stray animals, Helping the needy ones from impoverished backgrounds and much more. DSS volunteers donate blood for patients, police & for the Indian Army. Many times DSS got its name recorded in the Guinness book of records for the maximum unit of blood donation in one day. Commendable initiatives were taken to restore humanity globally.

In Dera Sacha Sauda, true spiritual masters have incarnated in the guise of Satguru, to free His souls from shackles, who were tormented badly in eighty-four lakh species. Tributes to Sai Maharaj Mastana Ji Balochistan, for taking an incarnation in this dreadful Kali-yuga and getting the realization of the Supreme God in his own form. He made a firm base of humanity in his disciples who are renouncing their evils and living a successful and peaceful life. Salutations to such a perfect guru and billions of times congratulations to the entire creation of this universe on his divine incarnation day.

Dengue – A deadly disease (Prevent the spread & Stay safe)

Introduction
Dengue, also known as ‘break-bone fever’ is a mosquito-borne viral infection which is common in warm, tropical climates. The virus responsible for causing dengue, is called dengue virus (DENV). There are four DENV serotypes, so it is possible for a person to be infected four times. One can experience various symptoms ranging from extremely mild (unnoticeable) to those that may require medical intervention and even hospitalization. In severe forms, it can lead to fatal consequences. As such, there is no treatment for the infection itself but the underlying symptoms that a patient has can be managed medically. Dengue epidemics have shown seasonal patterns, with a peak transmission mostly during and after rainy seasons.

Mode of transmission:
Through Mosquito Bite: Dengue viruses spread to people through the bites of infected Aedes species mosquitoes. These are the same types of mosquitoes that may spread Zika and chikungunya viruses.
• This mosquito typically lay eggs near standing water in containers that hold water, like buckets, bowls, animal dishes, flower pots, and vases.
• These mosquitoes prefer to bite people, and live both indoors and outdoors near people.
• Can bite during the day as well as in night time.
• Mosquitoes become infected when they bite a person already infected with the virus. Infected mosquitoes can then spread the virus to other people through their bites.
Symptoms:
• Mild symptoms of dengue can be confused with other illnesses that cause fever, aches and pains, or a rash over body.
• The most common symptom of dengue is fever with any of the following:
• Nausea, vomiting
• Rash
• Aches and pains (eye pain, typically behind the eyes, muscle, joint, or bone pain)

Warning signs:
Warning signs usually begin in the 24–48 hours after recovery from fever. These are:
• Belly pain, tenderness
• Vomiting (at least 3 times in 24 hours)
• Bleeding from the nose or gums due to low platelet counts.
• Blood in the Vomiting or stool
• Feeling tired, restless, or irritable
• Symptoms of dengue typically last 2–7 days. Most people will recover after about a week.
• Severe dengue is a medical emergency. It requires immediate medical care at a clinic or hospital.
Investigations:
• CBC/ LFT/KFT/ PT/INR
• Dengue NS1 Ag (ELFA)
• Real time PCR
• MAC ELISA (IgM antibody)
• IgG ELISA,
• Non-structural protein 1 (NS1) ELISA

Why does Platelet Count decrease in Dengue Fever?
In dengue platelet count and white blood cells decrease in number which affects the immunity system. This happens because of the following:
• Platelet count in dengue decreases as it suppresses bone marrow, which is the platelet-producing area.
• Platelets count in dengue decreases because of Blood cells getting affected by the virus which damages platelets.
• Antibodies that are produced during this period leads to massive destruction of platelets in dengue.
Treatment:
• There is no specific medicine to treat dengue.
• Treat the symptoms of dengue and see your healthcare provider.

If you think you have Dengue:
• See a healthcare provider if you develop a fever or have symptoms of dengue. Tell him or her about your travel.
• Rest as much as possible.
• Take acetaminophen (also known as paracetamol) to control fever and relieve pain.
• Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen.
• Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated. Drink water or drinks with added electrolytes.
• For mild symptoms, care for a sick at home is sufficient but constant monitoring is emphasized specially for bleeding.
Prevention:
• The first step towards how to prevent dengue fever is to put a full stop to mosquito breeding grounds.
• Turn over all water storage containers
• Don’t let water stagnate anywhere
• Keep all the doors and windows closed especially at dawn, dusk, and early evening to avoid the entry of mosquitoes
• Ensure to burn a mosquito-repellent coil or use a ‘Goodnight/All-out’ machine every night before sleeping
• If drinking water is stored in a container, ensure that it is always closed well with a lid, after use.
• If your home has many windows and doors, mosquito nets can be fixed.
• If water air cooler is used, remember to clean out the water tray regularly.
• Keep the surrounding clean by removing all the wastes and cleaning the standing water.
• Spray adequate insect repellents with at least 20% DEET in dark corners of your house
• Wear protective clothing with long sleeves to avoid mosquito bites specially when outdoors
• Change water in flower pots and air coolers regularly
• Permethrin – an effective mosquito repellent can be applied to clothes, shoes, camping gear and bed netting. Do not use it directly on your skin.
• Clear all fallen leaves and blockages.
• Yet another natural way to prevent dengue fever is by keeping mosquitoes away by planting a Tulsi plant near any window.
• Reschedule your outdoor activities and avoid being out during dawn and dusk and during early evening as these are the times when the mosquitoes are out.
• Even if there is no vaccination against dengue, it is a completely preventable disease. With the above dengue precautions, one can keep the dengue virus at bay, the only required thing is to be vigilant.
Blood and platelet transfusion:
• Transfusion is necessary when a patient with Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) shows a severe drop in platelet count. It is advisable to do it when the platelet count is less than 10,000 and the patient exhibits active bleeding. Platelets protect us from injuries and one cannot afford to lose them.
• Transfusion of blood becomes mandatory if patient is bleeding actively, to avoid fatal consequences.

Collaboration by Dera Sacha Sauda:

Pioneer of Humanity, The Dear Sacha Sauda, has always extended an appreciable helping hand not only during epidemics but also in routine days. As per the spiritual Master of Dera Sacha Sauda, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, “One must donate blood so that no life is lost due to its paucity. It fills the donor with vitality. Blood donation never brings any weakness rather it’s a remedy for many diseases in itself. There is no bigger service & charity than donating blood. Go for this cause & be a Mankind’s saviour.”
In today’s era of selfishness, people are much limited to self, whereas DSS (Dera Sacha Sauda) disciples save the lives without any sort of consideration. Blood donation is tremendous humanitarian service which is being performed by DSS disciples globally. Blood is sent to Border soldiers which help our army to stand again in battle field. Many helpless are served with blood without any single penny. Blood Donation is one of 135 social welfare activities run by Dera Sacha Sauda. Thousands of volunteers have signed a pledge for a regular donation of blood after every 3 months, under the guidance of Revered Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan.

Dera Sacha Sauda has made three world records in the domain of Blood Donation. The first record was held in the Guinness Book of Records on 7th December 2003 with a donation of 15,432 units of blood in a single day. On 10th Oct 2004, the record made in 2003 was exceeded & set a new record with a donation of 17,291 units. The journey has not stopped, Volunteers again surpassed their own record by donating 43,732 units in Single Day. The latter two are recorded in Asia Book of Record and Limca Book of World records each, in the field of blood donation and for donating maximum blood on a single day. This was all possible due to principles & guidance provided by His Holiness.

Guru Ji proclaimed that “Khoon Daan is Mahadaan”, though life & death is in the hands of Almighty but by donating blood one becomes a medium to save someone from dying. Dera Sacha Sauda also paid Homage to Pulwama Martyrs with a Nationwide Blood Donation Campaign.
Dera Sacha Sauda has been nicknamed ‘True Blood Pump’, for the donor’s availability to donate blood 24×7 and just as a pump, this organization is always ready to provide blood. In fact, the Indian Army can be called the biggest recipient of blood from this organization, as volunteers have been donating blood for injured soldiers, for the last one and a half decade.

Cancer, thalassemia, aplastic anaemia, haemophilia, various kidney and liver diseases, thrombocytopenia, Novel covid-19 pandemic and dengue etc. are the prevalent conditions which have raised the demand of blood and blood products. Under the leadership of their Revered Master Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan, lacs of units have been collected and donated till now either to the proud Indian Army, general public or to the sufferers of various diseases and ailments.

Besides, spiritual benefits, there are several health benefits associated with blood donation like Blood purification, enhanced rate of production of blood cells, reduced chances of cardiac diseases and cardiac failure etc. So the whole society should leave behind the associated myths and come forward to save the entire humanity. As far Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers are concerned, they will never back down from their passion, hardly matter even if the demand rises up to infinity. A grand salute to such spirit. Kudos to Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan and to the crew of humanity he leads, for their commendable humanitarian deeds and enthusiasm.
